Sustainable Tourism
The International Sustainable Tourism in Protected Areas Seminar, offered in English and co-sponsored by Colorado State University’s Center for Protected Area Management and the U.S. Forest Service’s International Programs (USFS-IP), has trained cohorts of protected area, conservation, and tourism professionals each year since its first seminar in 2013. The seminar visits a wide arrange of protected areas across the western USA and provide ample opportunities for dialogue and discussion about challenges and opportunities regarding sustainable tourism development in and around protected areas. One of the seminar’s long-term goals is to create and promote a community of practice that serves its alumni well beyond the in-person seminar experience. Explore the seminar website here!
